The Podcast Academy has announced it will be hosting the first Awards for Excellence in Audio in Los Angeles on March 28.
Nominations will open for 'The Ambies' on Monday, October 19 and can be made at ambies.com until December 15.
The Podcast Academy has been formed from "leading voices in the podcasting industry... to celebrate excellence in podcasting and elevate awareness and status of podcasts as a unique and personal medium for entertainment, information, storytelling and expression".
The nominees in the 24 categories - which include Best Interview, Best Host, Best Reporting and Best Original Score and Music Supervision - will be announced in February.
